THE MOONSHADOW STUDIO

You are very good at the work. You are very tired of trying to sound like the *internet* about it.

You wrote the Substack post in one sitting and it got seven likes. You hired the brand designer and the site looks fine and the bounce rate is ninety percent. You sat down to write the launch email and ended up reorganizing the kitchen. You watched someone with half your training and twice your reach sell out the cohort in a weekend, and you had a feeling about it that you did not love.

Meanwhile the work itself — the session, the room, the long careful labor of helping someone meet a part of themselves they have spent years avoiding — is the most articulate thing you do.

We are a small studio inside Moonshadow. We close that gap for you.

What you are paying us for, plainly

You are paying us to write the way you would write if you had three uninterrupted hours and a different nervous system. To build the website that reads like a body of work, not a brochure. To run the launch so you can do the launch. To send the email on Tuesday because Tuesday is when it goes.

You are paying us because we have spent years inside the same lineages you have — depth psychology, shadow work, the contemplative traditions, the Tools, the chart, the body — and we know how to write about them in a register that respects how strange and serious the work actually is. We do not sound like wellness Instagram. We will not make you sound like wellness Instagram. This is, for many of our clients, the entire point.

The writing

Essays, newsletters, course copy, sales pages, podcast scripts, launch sequences, brand voice guides. We write in your voice on your most articulate day. If you do not have a voice yet, we listen to you for two hours and we find one.

The site

Squarespace, Wix, Substack. Architecture, copy, visual system, the whole thing. The kind of site that makes the right person stop, read, and book.

The brand

Identity, palette, typography, the small recurring marks that make a body of work feel inhabited rather than assembled. Full guidelines so the look holds across your site, your offers, your social, your inbox, your slow expansion outward.

The audience

A real strategy for being findable, followed, and trusted by the people you actually want in your practice. Content calendars that survive a hard week. Platform decisions that hold up. Audience research, engagement systems, and the slow architecture of an email list that becomes a client list, then a community, then a body of work with weight.

The launch

Course, workshop, membership, summit. From the first conversation about what you are actually offering, through curriculum scaffolding, sales page, email sequence, registration platform, the day-of, the post-launch retention. We have built and shipped our own. We know exactly where these break and we know how to keep your nervous system out of the breakage.

The room

Virtual summits, live workshops, hybrid gatherings. Speaker management, run of show, registration and replay infrastructure, post-event audience capture. We produced the Shadow Summit. We know the operational map.

The detail pass

The thing that makes a project feel finished instead of merely done. The last ten percent. The reason you came to us instead of the cheaper option.

How we work

In retainer. A small number of clients at a time, an ongoing relationship, a real understanding of your voice and your offers and the people you are trying to reach. This is not how most studios are structured. It is how we get to do work we are proud of and how you get the version of us that is paying real attention.

A retainer engagement typically includes biweekly working sessions, an agreed scope of recurring deliverables, and a defined set of larger seasonal projects. We move on your timeline, not the platform's.

We take on standalone projects only at the scale of a course launch, a membership build, a full website rebuild, or a brand identity from scratch. Anything smaller is better served inside an ongoing partnership, or by someone else.

Who we are

Ashley Abubakar

Shadow work coach. Operational lead. The reason things actually ship. I run content strategy, social, audience research, community engagement, event logistics, and the detail pass that catches what everyone else missed. I have spent years in customer-facing work learning how to make people feel met without flattering them. Midwest specificity. The extra ten percent that makes work feel real in a feed full of AI. I keep us on track when the conversation wants to go everywhere at once.

KP Kaszubowski

Hellenistic astrologer, parts work coach. MFA poet, published in American Poetry Review and TriQuarterly. Indie filmmaker with a feature on Prime. Adjunct writing instructor. Fifteen years across film production, arts marketing, and creative direction. I lead the writing, the web build, the brand voice, the visual system. I have spent my adult life learning how to put a sentence next to another sentence and make something happen between them.

We co-founded Moonshadow in 2024. We co-produced the Shadow Summit. We do this work for our own brands every week, in public. The studio is the same labor, in private, for a small number of practitioners we believe in.

Who we will not work with

People doing harm in the helping professions. People who want a website that promises a fixed self in six weeks. People who want us to write fear-based launch copy or scarcity countdowns or any version of the thing where the audience is the enemy.

Everyone else, who has a real practice and a real voice and the patience to let an audience grow on its own terms — write to us.

To begin

We work by referral. Tell us what you are building, what you have tried, and what is in the way. The first conversation is free and slow.
