The Moonshadow Membership
A real room. Real people. On a real rhythm.
Twice-monthly live calls.
Writing prompts that go where therapy stops.
The community you've been doing inner work without — until now.
You've been doing this alone, haven't you.
You read the books alone. You take the courses alone. You listen to the podcast in the car, alone.
You've been "doing your inner work" — the phrase itself a small euphemism for figuring out, in private, why you keep being the person you keep being — and the doing has mostly happened in your own head, on your own time, with no one in the room.
This is the shape of the era we live in. The traditions that built this work — therapy, depth psychology, the contemplative paths, the wisdom communities of every culture that ever made it past one generation — all assumed that inner work happens in relationship.
Then we got Wi-Fi, and we forgot.
What you actually need is a room.
A room with the same faces in it month after month.
A room where someone notices when you go quiet.
A room with people who are also doing the work — not because they paid for a course and need the credential, but because they cannot, anymore, keep doing this alone.
You will not find this room on Instagram. You will not find it in a Discord server with eight thousand members and three moderators. You will not find it in a course you binge in a weekend and never open again. You will not find it in a parasocial relationship with someone whose books you've underlined but whose face has never seen yours.
What the Moonshadow Membership is:
A small, ongoing community of people doing shadow work — the practice of meeting the parts of yourself you've been avoiding, and learning to live more honestly with what's actually there.
Led by Ashley Abubakar (shadow work community weaver, founder of Moonshadow) and KP Kaszubowski (Hellenistic astrologer, Jungian parts work educator, MFA poet).
We meet on the rhythm of the moon — twice a month, predictably, whether you're ready or not.
$30/month. Cancel anytime. No locking anyone in.
What's in it
[1]
🌑 Two live group calls a month
Held on the new moon and the full moon. 75 minutes each. Cameras on. Small enough that we know your name. Each call has a focus — sometimes a teaching, sometimes a guided practice, sometimes the slow group conversation that happens when honest people get in a room and refuse to lie about how they actually are.
Can't make it live? Every call is recorded and yours within 24 hours.
[2]
✍️ A writing workshop on the first quarter moon
Pre-recorded. Short teaching, then a prompt designed to take you where you weren't planning to go. Watch when you can.
[3]
🌗 An integration prompt on the third quarter moon
A single, specific prompt for the part of the cycle when something has surfaced and wants to be put on paper before it can be put down. Not the kind that asks how you're feeling. The kind that asks the question underneath that question.
[4]
📞 Pop-up calls when the moment asks for them
An eclipse. A hard week. A theme so many of you are bringing in that we make a room for it. Not on a content calendar. Because the work is responsive, and so are we.
[5]
📚 The full archive, every paid post
Everything Ashley and KP have ever written here. Yours.

🤝 The other people in the room
The hardest thing to put on a sales page. Members tell us it ends up being the part that matters most. You will see the same faces. You will start to know what they're working on. They will start to know you.
This is what people mean when they say community, and it is increasingly hard to find.
Why this works when other things haven't
1. There is a schedule.
You don't have to remember when. You don't have to motivate yourself. The new moon comes whether you're ready or not. The full moon comes whether you're ready or not. You just show up.
This is the single biggest reason inner work fails: there is nothing forcing it onto the calendar. The membership solves that. Twice a month. The moon is the deadline.
2. It is small on purpose.
We are not optimizing for scale. We are optimizing for the room being a real room.
If we wanted ten thousand members, we'd build a different product. We don't, so we didn't.
3. The leadership is honest.
Ashley and KP are not gurus. They are practitioners and writers who have been doing this work for years and continue to do it themselves. They'll teach what they know. They'll be honest about what they don't. They will not perform serenity at you.
4. We use the moon as a structure, not a doctrine.
The moon shows up on the same predictable cycle it's been keeping for as long as humans have looked up. We follow its lead because it is the oldest deadline we have.
If you're astrology-curious, you'll get plenty. If you're astrology-skeptical, you don't have to convert. The work is the work either way.
What this membership is built to give you
✓ Growth. Not in the self-improvement sense. In the older sense — becoming more honest, more whole, more yourself.
✓ Regular check-ins with people who are also doing the work. The thing your inner life has been missing.
✓ Real friendships. Members find each other and stay in touch between calls.
✓ A practice that actually sustains. Twice a month, indefinitely. No sprint, no plateau, no quitting in March.
✓ A break from the loneliness that has come to define modern self-work.
Is this you?
✓ You've been doing this work alone and you're done doing it alone.
✓ You've read the books, taken the courses, followed the teachers — and you've hit the wall where reading more isn't the answer.
✓ You're a therapist, coach, healer, or artist who needs a room where you're not the one holding everyone else.
✓ You're a writer who wants shadow work to fuel your writing, not be the topic of it.
✓ You're curious about astrology and depth psychology, but tired of the woo and tired of the doom.
This is not for you if:
✗ You want therapy. We're not therapists.
✗ You want a quick fix. This is slow, ongoing work.
✗ You want a content library to scroll. We're a room, not a streaming service.
✗ You want to debate whether shadow work is real. We're past that conversation.
✗ You can't actually show up. The membership only works if you do.
Your first two calls, if you join now
🌑 New Moon in Taurus
Saturday, May 16 · 11 AM PT / 2 PM ET
The opening call. Taurus weather: bodies, ground, what we actually want when we stop pretending we want what we're supposed to want. We'll go in.
🌕 Full Moon in Sagittarius
Saturday, May 30 · 11 AM PT / 2 PM ET
Full moon work. What's surfacing. What you've been protecting yourself from knowing. What the philosopher inside you has been keeping a careful distance from.
Both calls recorded for members. Show up live for what you can.

Things people have asked:
What if I can't make a call?
Every call is recorded. You'll have it within 24 hours. Many members watch the replay on a quiet morning when the live call wasn't possible. The membership is built for people with real lives. How long are the calls?
75 minutes. Long enough to teach, practice, and let the room talk. Short enough to fit into a busy day. What time zones?
Calls are at 11 AM PT / 2 PM ET, dependent on the day of the week of the call — workable for most of North America during waking hours. Recordings cover the rest. We may add a second time slot if there's enough demand.Do I need to know astrology or Jungian psychology?
No. KP teaches when teaching is needed. Members range from people brand new to this work to seasoned practitioners. You don't need a vocabulary to come in.Is this therapy?
No. Ashley and KP are not therapists. The membership is not a substitute for therapy and is not appropriate as the only support for someone in active mental health crisis. Many of our members work with their own therapists alongside the membership. If you need clinical care, please contact a licensed provider. Can I cancel?
Yes. Anytime. We don't do the trick where canceling requires a phone call to someone in another country. Click the button. Done. What technology do I need?
A computer or tablet, a camera, and an internet connection that doesn't drop every five minutes. We use Zoom. If you've ever been on a video call, you're set.How big is the membership?
Small on purpose. The whole pitch is that the room stays a real room. We're not chasing a five-figure subscriber count. If we ever do, we will tell you, and we will probably split the membership into smaller cohorts before letting it become unrecognizable. How do I join?
Click any button on this page. Pay. You'll get a welcome email within minutes with everything you need — Zoom link, next call, how to access the writing. The work is better in company.
You've been doing this alone for long enough. And this is the room.
